"I've worked with lots of artists (yes, I consider Creative Director/Writers artists, too!) and it is fabulous working with Ken. His goal is your goal, so his ego does not get in the way and this is a big deal when working with creative people. Couple that with his gift of expressing your needs in an appealing, effective way and you have a winner!!"

What a Talking Tuna, a Stodgy Bank, a Flying Tire,
Some Peanuts and Three Elves Have in Common.

The same person put words in their mouths.

Charlie the Tuna, though clever and famous as ever, still can’t convince Star-Kist to take him aboard. Manufacturers Bank makes strong strides into the consumer market. The Goodyear American Eagle enjoys one of the tire industry’s most successful product introductions. Planters Peanuts becomes “The Affordable Little Luxury”. And Snap! Crackle! Pop! leap off a cereal box and into the spotlight to become the most powerful, popular corporate spokes-elves Kellogg’s ever had.

Your business can secure that same caliber of branding, advertising and success.

Simply contact Ken LaVetter: the Creative Director of LaVetter & Friends Advertising.  He's the person who put all those words in the mouths of all those products.

Following graduation from The University of Wisconsin - B.A. English, Minor Economics - Ken began a career of creating successful advertising for two distinct arenas: blue chip international corporations and small-to-medium local businesses. The latter half of those years continue at LaVetter & Friends Advertising in South Florida. The first half of those years were spent in positions of responsibility at six of the country’s largest, most-respected advertising agencies:

  • Leo Burnett, Chicago: Associate Creative Director
  • D’arcy, Benton & Bowles, Chicago: Associate Creative Director
  • Young & Rubicam, Chicago: Senior Writer
  • J. Walter Thompson, Detroit: Creative Director
  • Interpublic / Campbell-Ewald, Detroit: Associate Creative Director
  • Interpublic / Marschalk, Cleveland: Associate Creative Director

Ken works closely with his clients to determine the positioning that serves their companies best. He creates results-oriented branding and advertising.  He works in a variety of styles - humor, corporate, retail, romance, etc. - so the most apropos avenue for growing a business is always available.

His work has won its share of recognition, including three Gold Clios. He has been invited to judge the Clio Awards twice, the Addy Awards four times, and the U.S. Television & Radio Festival.

Importantly, Ken revels in his work and holds the craft of advertising in high regard.

"Let’s talk. There are productive possibilities for your company to pursue right now. Bringing those possibilities to life is a goal I'm sure we have in common."
